How we work with you to make your new website a reality
Phase 1
Discovery (Free Mockup Phase)
Project Scope Call
This is our intro call where we meet and talk about the possible project scope. This includes page count, special functions, and may include 3rd party API integration discussion.
Website Proposal
After we agree on the proper project scope we’ll send you a detailed proposal outlining everything you’ll receive if we work together. This includes budget, timeline, page count, revisions allowance, and more.
Discovery Questionnaire
If the proposal looks good we’ll proceed with a discovery questionnaire which we’ll use to help create your free mockup. You don’t have to sign anything at this point, this is still the get to know each other phase.
Free Mockup Delivery
After we review your discovery questionnaire we’ll get to work on your mockup. Expect to have the mockup in your email inbox within 5 business days.
Mockup Review
If you like the mockup and want to work together we will proceed with the terms outlined in the proposal. If you’d like to go in a different direction you can with no hard feelings on our end.
Website Kickoff Meeting
Every project starts with an official kickoff meeting. During the meeting, we’ll clarify goals for the project, make sure we’re all on the same page, and assign next steps for everyone involved.
Sitemap
Together we’ll iron out the final sitemap which is also known as the architecture of the website. The number of services you offer will impact your sitemap the most. More services equal more pages.
Content
If you already have content ready, then just give it to us and we’ll use it. If you need help creating new content or refreshing old content we can connect you with one of our trusted copywriters who can help you write new content.
Images
If you have existing images we can use them, or we can help source and curate new images. If your project requires stock photos we can help you acquire those. You may also consider professional photography if your project calls for it.
Phase 3
Design
Homepage
Your homepage is the most important page on your website from every aspect. The design will influence the inner pages as will the content. Using your free mockup as a launching pad we’ll work together dialing in the design for your homepage before moving on with the design for the inner pages.
Inner Pages
After your homepage design is finalized we will get started on all the inner pages. These pages are created together in batches and the revisions are completed in batches. After all your pages are finalized with design and content we can move onto the development stage.
Phase 4
Development
Website Development
Your website is developed on a live test server. The site is developed to be fully mobile responsive across all devices and web browsers.
Content Population
Once the site is fully developed and operating without any bugs we’ll populate the pages with content and images.
SEO
We identify the keywords you should be ranking for and tag and structure your site to be optimized to rank for the keywords.
Mobile Responsiveness
Development is where we make sure your website is optimized for mobile display on iPhones, iPads, and all other mobile devices.
Quality Assurance
We test your website across all the major devices and browsers to ensure functionality, display, and everything looks exactly the way we agreed it would.
Review
Once your website development is complete you take your website for a test drive. You’ll have plenty of time to provide feedback on the development and let us know if everything is functioning the way you need it to.
Training
We provide you with detailed video walkthrough tutorials on how to update and edit all aspects of your website without needing to know anything technical. We can also provide live Zoom tutorials to staff if needed.
Launch
After you’ve seen the final version of your website and give your approval the site is ready to go live. The launch process happens within 24 hours of you giving us the green light.
